Using soapy water and a toothbrush is a very easy, affordable and effective way to clean your jibbitz charms. The ingredients for this method are easily accessible. In fact, you most likely already have them.
You will need:
- dishwasher soap
- old toothbrush
- paper towel
- water
Here are the steps to clean your jibbitz using soapy water and a toothbrush:
- Pour half a teaspoon of dishwasher soap into a bowl of warm water and mix until the mixture starts to bubble up.
- Dip the jibbitz into the soapy water and allow to soak for 5 – 10 minutes.
- Remove them out of the water and use a toothbrush to gently scrub the jibbitz.
- Rinse the brushed jibbitz under the tap and set aside on a paper towel.
- Leave the charms on the paper towel until they are dry.

Magic erasers contain melamine foams which just require a touch of water to clean effectively. The steps below show you how to use the magic eraser to clean your Crocs jibbitz.

- pillow case or laundry mesh bag
- mild laundry detergent
Follow these steps to wash your Crocs jibbitz charms in a washing machine:
- Set your washing machine temperature to or even below 86°F (30°C), and make sure it does not get past that. High temperatures can end up damaging your Crocs charms.
- Put your jibbitz into a laundry mesh bag. If you do not have this bag, you can use a pillow case – these will ensure you don’t lose your charms.
- Pour your non-aggressive laundry detergent into the soap dispenser drawer.
- Start the washing cycle.
- Once the cycle is complete, take your charms out and leave them to air dry.
